The Battle of Taurinok was a battle of the Galactic Civil War which took place on the Outer Rim planet of Taurinok, during the Life Day Offensive. Thousands of Rebel and Imperial solders and officers were killed in this battle, which was one of the most destructive battles of the entire war. Both sides eventually saw the pointlessness of the battle, and after two bloody weeks, the Rebels withdrew, but not before launching a scorched earth policy so that no resources would fall into enemy hands. Seeing that there were no available resources left, Commander Sin-Yon withdrew from the planet.
